Published via goldcoastbulletin.com.au - 1/11/2022 A BROADBEACH tower has defied a more challenging apartment scene to achieve boom time sales – nearly$100 million worth in five weeks.
Marella by Mosaic is a 30-floor building to go on a near $12m Surf Pde site overlooking Nikiforides Family Park, the Broadbeach Bowls Club, and the ocean.
Brook Monahan, founder and the head of the Mosaic group, said the speed and strength of Marella sales had encouraged the group to fast-track construction.
It would start in January, with an early 2025 completion target.
The $95m in sales, dominated by owner-occupiers, has included Marella’s four-bedroom, 290sq m penthouse to a Gold Coast buyer for $4.15m. Marella, which will have 100 apartments, is the ninth luxury tower launched by Mosaic on the Gold Coast in fewer than four years, and all have been sellouts.
Similar success at Marella will take its total sales in projects between Broadbeach and Coolangatta to close to $700m.
The latest tower is Mosaic’s second partnership with Plus Architecture, following 2021 collaboration Dawn by Mosaic in Mermaid Beach, which sold out in record time and is due for completion in late 2023.
Prices at Marella, at 146 Surf Pde, start at $835,000 for a two-bedroom apartment and $1.875m for a three-bedroom home with multi-purpose room.
