Why community engagement matters to Mosaic

At Mosaic, we’ve taken a different approach to how we work within the communities in which we develop. We see community engagement as a genuine opportunity to invite the community into our development process, rather than just ticking a box at a certain stage to meet legislation.

We decided to have a stronger focus on community engagement and felt it needed an industry wide rethink; the first step required us to put ourselves in the shoes of people living, working and visiting the neighbourhoods we develop in. It is inevitable that development will have some impacts, but we want to work with our neighbours to assist them as much as possible through the process and reduce our impacts as much as we can.

Having a dedicated community engagement team at Mosaic allows us to start the conversation early about the development process for each project. We take the time to chat to people face-to-face, so we can better understand and manage the impacts on those around us.

It’s all about treating people the way we want to be treated, reflecting our belief that property development can, and should be, an ethical business.
