The Indooroopilly Men's Shed exemplifies the strength of community, collaboration, and a common purpose that extends beyond its workshop boundaries. We take great pride in partnering with this exceptional community organisation to make a meaningful contribution that will endure for years to come.

The Indooroopilly Men’s Shed is an organisation that goes beyond its workshop walls and stands as a testament to the power of community, collaboration, and shared purpose.

This unique community organisation provides a welcoming space for men to come together, share skills, and work on various projects, such as woodworking, metalworking, and other hands-on activities.

However, it is much more than just a physical space – it is a place for men to connect, create, and contribute, where camaraderie flourishes and exchanging knowledge and experiences creates a supportive environment.

Members come from diverse backgrounds, with the Shed a melting pot of skills and talents.

While the workshop is the focal point, the Indooroopilly Men’s Shed extends its influence beyond its physical location by actively engaging with the broader community through outreach programs and collaborative initiatives, such as partnering with local schools for skill-sharing sessions or participating in community events.

The result is a tangible positive impact on the Indooroopilly community, contributing to mental health and well-being and ultimately empowering individuals to stay active and engaged.

The Indooroopilly Men’s Shed is a shining example of how community-based organisations can profoundly impact individuals and the community at large, and we are incredibly proud to support it.

Mosaic’s x Indooroopilly Men’s Shed – Planter Bed Project

Mosaic goes far beyond industry norms for community engagement. We are acutely aware that we must earn a social license to operate through a sensitive development approach that acknowledges and addresses concerns.

The Witton by Mosaic, which is due for completion in 2024, is our sixth project in the Indooroopilly area. By considering our neighbours and the broader community, we are grateful to have earned the trust of locals.

As part of The Witton’s broader, multi-faceted community engagement process, and in the spirit of seeking ways to give back to the areas we are fortunate enough to develop, we offered to build and install ten Council-specified planter beds in select Indooroopilly neighbourhood locations, helping to enhance urban greenspaces.

We heard about the great work of the Indooroopilly Men’s Shed and approached them for assistance constructing these planter beds.

Now, months on, all ten planter beds are a reality.

Five are installed at Chapel Hill Community Garden, two at St Lucia Community Garden, and three at Taringa Community Garden.

We are really proud to have the opportunity to collaborate with this fantastic community organisation and make a contribution that will last for years to come.
