Welcome to our June Live South East Queensland update. We share our latest property research and insights for SEQ.
With all the attention the building and construction sector is facing, particularly around cost escalation and labour shortages, it’s understandable that contemplating an off-the-plan apartment purchase does not seem as straightforward right now.
With a very different business model to most developers, Mosaic has a genuine and distinct advantage during periods of uncertainty, firming up its reputation as a trusted partner that always delivers, regardless of the challenges that the market may be facing at any point in time.
Let us help you understand why you can feel confident that Mosaic will deliver, as it has without blemish for almost 20 years. Click here to read more.
Our sustainability journey involves every aspect of our business. Not only are we innovating how we design and build our homes, but we also look to our everyday operations and ways we can learn and improve our approach to reducing our footprint.
At our Brisbane HQ, one of the many environmental initiatives we have implemented is introducing an Australian native stingless bee hive to help enhance the local bee population.
Bees are essential to our ecosystem. They pollinate many different crops that feed us and keep our flora thriving. Not to mention the delicious honey and medicinal products they produce.
Our team was recently provided with an educational insight into the significance bees have, both culturally and environmentally, by Senior Development Manager Jaron Dalle Court.
In addition to viewing inside the hives, Jaron provided fun facts, the importance of pollinators for many of our fruits, vegetables and other food sources, the power of the “Queen Bee”, and how long it takes for them to produce honey. Jaron also showed us the DIY vacuum he uses to rescue wild native bees and rehome them in purpose-built hives so they aren’t harmed.
Mosaic’s Sustainability Committee meets every month to share information and discuss ways in which we can implement meaningful, practical measures at work and home.
With more exciting initiatives to come, we look forward to sharing our ongoing evolution with you.

Mosaic Foundation explores opportunities to make a real difference by investing much-needed time, expertise and funds into initiatives that contribute to improving the lives of those who most need it.
We proudly support Emmanuel City Mission, established in 2009 to support Brisbane’s homeless and disadvantaged. The Mission provides a safe space seven days a week for the vulnerable to feel cared for and valued.
Our staff regularly volunteer their time at the Mission to support their work and help the service prosper. The entire team at Emmanuel City Mission are an inspiration, and we feel incredibly proud to be associated with this very worthy cause.

The central, always-in-demand Broadbeach is the next Gold Coast hotspot set to see a wave of new apartments.
It’s been one of the busiest spots in 2022 already, with a number of prominent developers, both local and interstate, seeking to build apartment towers in the sought-after spot south of Surfers Paradise.
Mosaic Property boss Brook Monahan says Broadie is the centre of the Gold Coast now.
“A lot of people talk about Surfers Paradise in the Gold Coast as the hub, but really for actual residents, it’s definitely Broadie,” Monahan said.
“Surfers is heavily weighted toward investors, whereas Broadie is very much a local market, either local owner-occupiers or those with a secondary home.”
Monahan says there’s a lot of nostalgia to Broadbeach for a lot of residents in South East Queensland.

GOLD Coast, you do surprise me. While it seems every community group, local social media page and sign plastered along our suburban streets advertises its hatred for high-rise buildings, apparently our skyscrapers are the subject of some secret love.
According to the Gold Coast/Northern Rivers 2022 Australian Institute of Architects’ Regional Architecture Awards, it’s none other than a high-rise that has won the People’s Choice Award.
Bulletin readers were invited to join in the vote for their favourite local design from a stellar shortlist, and the 26-level Bela building by RotheLowman Architects, on Peerless Ave, Mermaid Beach, was the winner.
And Bela didn’t just sneak over the line, she smashed it with almost half of the vote from the 18-strong list.

South East Queensland boasts a powerful combination of having a thriving world-class capital city, an enviable lifestyle, stunning beaches, record infrastructure investment, strong employment growth, and a high level of housing affordability
The SEQ story is a very strong one.
The region should remain resilient to higher interest rates because of its relative affordability, high population growth, constrained supply, accelerating interstate and overseas migration, rising rents and low vacancy rates, and the Olympic program.
