With piling works complete and basement excavation officially underway at Lily, the momentum continues with capping beam installation also set to finish in the coming days.
Bulk excavation will continue through October, and the team will initiate shotcrete application to the basement walls as they progress deeper into the ground. This specialised technique involves spraying concrete at high velocity to reinforce and ensure durability during the dig.
The dewatering system installed in September will ensure the construction site remains dry and safe.

Piling works were successfully completed in September, as was the stormwater connection. With the piling phase behind us, the team has commenced the installation of the capping beams. These horizontal structural elements will sit atop the piles, distributing the building’s weight evenly and strengthening the foundation.
Mosaic Construction also began essential inground hydraulic and electrical works for Building 1. And should all go to plan and weather permitting, the team is targeting to install Cotton Tree’s tower crane at the end of October and install deep wells for dewatering purposes.

September saw the team achieve a significant milestone: The Manning’s tower crane installation. This month, the team is focused on achieving several goals, weather permitting, including pouring the Ground floor slab and forming the Ground to Level 1 vertical precast columns.
They are also set to finalise stormwater connections to the site. This is the infrastructure and systems to manage rainwater runoff from streets, buildings, and other surfaces during rainfall or storms. It is critical to prevent flooding, erosion, and water pollution.

In preparation for the next construction phase, the team has commenced detailed excavation and also begun work on in-ground services.
Should all go to plan and weather permitting, Mosaic Construction will kickstart the process of pouring the Basement 2 concrete slab, another significant and exciting milestone.

After last month’s massive milestone of structural top-out, the team is now set to gradually remove Luca’s scaffold. External painting and render work are in full swing, as is the construction of Luca’s swimming pool.
