October saw Mosaic Construction complete the capping beam installation, a critical element of Lily’s structural foundation. Temporary power was also established to cater to the diverse range of construction activities and keep tasks on track, including the dewatering system, which is now operational and managing groundwater levels as the team progresses with bulk excavation.
As October unfolded and this massive task continued its descent into the ground, the team began applying shotcrete to the walls of Basement 1. Weather permitting, the team is looking to complete bulk excavation this month and install Lily’s tower crane.

October saw the team achieve a series of milestones, with capping beam works and essential in-ground hydraulic and electrical works to Building 1 officially complete.
This month, should all go to plan and weather permitting, the team is set to realise a momentous achievement in Cotton Tree’s construction journey: the tower crane installation. The final stages of preparation for excavation will be closed out, and the site’s sewer connection is set to get underway.

With The Manning’s foundations firmly established, the team worked diligently through October, successfully completing the ground-level concrete slab pour and installing vertical load-bearing columns that will evenly distribute the building’s weight across its foundations.
As we transition into November, the team will target an array of essential works, including forming the ground-level lift and stair core and installing a collision wall on the Queensland Rail boundary, a critical safety measure for the local community.
Mosaic Construction will also oversee the installation of the stormwater tank as well as the Energex pad mount transformer, which will eventually provide the building’s electrical supply.

With The Prescott’s tower crane now standing proudly on the Toowong skyline, the team reached another momentous milestone in October, finalising bulk excavation. Detailed excavation for in-ground services, the lift pit, and stairs were also closed out last month, carving out space for essential systems encompassing the site’s water supply, drainage and electrical wiring.
This month, Mosaic Construction aims to complete The Prescott’s Basement 2 concrete slab pour, the very first concrete slab pour for the building. Following this, should all go to plan and weather permitting, the team will then look to form vertical elements to advance from Basement 2 to Basement 1.

Last month’s biggest highlight, indeed one of the most significant of the entire construction journey, was the start of unveiling Lorient’s magnificent silhouette. Living spaces are also coming to life, with joinery installation and tiling progressing to level 5 and timber flooring to level 3.
November has Mosaic Construction targeting to complete timber floor laying up to Level 5, joinery installation up to Level 7, and stone benchtop fitting up to Level 6.
The team also aims to finish the swimming pool structure, advance external rendering works, continue with scaffold removal, and frame and sheet the recreation building’s interiors.

A particular highlight, weather permitting, will be commencing the process of installing the distinguishing feature columns to Witton One’s exterior facade, a key element to the development’s overall design intent and aesthetic.
