Construction Progress Round-up – February 2026

It’s been a strong start to 2026 as Mosaic Construction continues to deliver several milestones across our projects. In Brisbane, The Bedford’s basement construction has seen a large-scale construction program kick off, while the height of the tower at The Carter has progressed to Level 6. On the Gold Coast, Isabel reached a defining moment reaching structural top out and marking a defining moment for the building. At Madeline, the excavation of the three-level basement was successfully completed, and Sophia’s basement construction continues to advance at pace. With Lily complete and welcoming first Residents in December 2025, we are now excited to introduce our next project to these regular construction updates, Josephine by Mosaic, located in Burleigh Heads.

Brisbane

The Bedford by Mosaic | Kangaroo Point

Address: 16-30 Prospect Street, Kangaroo Point

Apartments: 128, 2- and 3-bedroom apartments and penthouse-style Skyhomes over 17 levels

January saw the completion of the very first slab‑on‑ground for Basement 4 — a significant achievement that required four sequential pours and enabled the team to begin progressing back up toward ground level. After the lift shaft overrun services were installed, the team moved into a structural program known as the Formwork-Reinforcement-Pour (FRP) cycle. This recurring methodology saw the first two basement levels complete and, weather permitting, the same cycle will continue throughout February, as Mosaic Construction progresses towards Basement 1.

The Carter’s construction progressed steadily as Level 6’s podium concrete slab was poured, and formwork screens were established on Level 7.  Glazing works advanced as waterproofing and subsill installation began on Level 2, while blockwork continued through the lower levels up to Level 4. Throughout February, the tower will keep rising with formwork, reinforcement, and concrete pours across Levels 7 and 8 and the building core is expected to reach Level 12, weather permitting.

Isabel by Mosaic | Burleigh Heads

Isabel reached a major milestone with the tower structure officially topping out, marking the shift from primary structural works to the detailed craftsmanship phase that will define the building’s final form. The benchmark apartment is nearing completion and will guide all future finishes to ensure a consistent, elevated standard. Glazing progressed with Levels 16 and 17 now sealed, enabling internal works to accelerate. This month, roof services and waterproofing begin on Level 19, glazing moves to Level 18, and internal works progress through Levels 3 to 13.

Bulk excavation for the three-level basement of Madeline has been successfully completed, marking a major project milestone. Basement walls are now reinforced with shotcrete, forming a strong structural shell, while essential services progressed with sewer connections and lift pit sheet piles installed. February will bring gantry and site shed installation, along with the arrival of the tower crane—signalling the transition from excavation to vertical construction.

At Sophia, bulk excavation advanced to Basement 2 with shotcrete works beginning to stabilise and reinforce the basement walls. The tower crane base has now been poured, and the gantry installed to support safe, efficient site access as activity ramps up. In the coming weeks, construction will accelerate as the project enters a more dynamic phase, highlighted by the arrival and installation of the tower crane, marking the shift toward vertical construction.

As always, Mosaic Construction, our triple ISO‑certified delivery team, is progressing swiftly through final construction planning. Subject to final approvals, early works — including demolition of the existing building — remain on track to commence in early Q2 2026, giving purchasers continued confidence.
