As we move into August, we are thrilled to celebrate the structural top-out of multiple buildings, a momentous achievement delivered by our award-winning construction team. Each of our 13 active building sites continues to see exciting progress across the board, with some, like Dawn by Mosaic in Mermaid Beach, seeing their completion firmly on the horizon.
Lily by Mosaic | Broadbeach
Address: 4 Rosewood Avenue, Broadbeach
Apartments: 98, 2- and 3-bedroom residences and Sky Homes over 29 levels

Mosaic Construction made fantastic progress last month, having demolished the existing structures and cleared Lily’s site. The team is now looking to commence piling works, which will create a safe and stable foundation for construction. August will also see the arrangement of essential utilities and services for the building, in preparation for further works.

The team continues to make solid strides in Cotton Tree’s building program, completing piling works to Building 1 last month and looking to advance to Building 2 in August, weather permitting. Mosaic Construction will also commence the inground hydraulic and electrical works for Building 1 – essential installations for the building’s functionality and amenities. In further news, temporary power will also be established which will enable the team to proceed with various construction activities efficiently and with adequate resources.

In encouraging news, Mosaic Construction is aiming to complete detailed excavation of The Manning’s site this month, meticulously preparing for the commencement of forming the core foundations. After this, the team will then apply shotcrete to the excavated perimeter walls, a procedure which will ensure the stability of the building as it rises. Another significant milestone the team is targeting will be the pouring of the ground floor concrete slab and installation of the crane base.

July was a massive month of excellent headway, with the team completing piling works and capping beam installation, a reinforced concrete beam that connects the building’s piles and ensures a strong and secure base. With the piling works concluded, Mosaic Construction wasted no time pushing ahead with bulk excavation. This critical and massive task will continue throughout August. And to maintain a seamless and aesthetically pleasing environment, the undergrounding of the overhead power lines is also targeted for this month and will see to the safety and reliability of the site’s power supply.

The team continues to make solid strides, having completed the Level 8 concrete slab pour last month. The interior transformation has now begun to the lower levels, with the first coat of paint applied up to Level 2. The next month will see continued plumbing, wall sheeting, window installation and services rough-in, as well as further advancements in the Recreation Building’s construction.

August is a critical month for Luca, as Mosaic Construction targets to achieve Luca’s structural building top-out, weather permitting. Additional works for August include prepping for carpet and hybrid timber flooring installation while progressing with glazing installation, wall framing, and sheeting throughout the month.

Having achieved the exceptional milestone of structural top-out, Hutchinson Builders has successfully removed the jump form containment screens, allowing for an unobstructed view of Dawn’s stunning facade. As we move towards the final stages of construction, there will be a significant focus on progressing Dawn’s common areas as well as the targeted completion of the solar panel installation. The hoist and crane are also scheduled to be removed this month.

Energex has completed Bianca’s permanent electricity connection, with external painting, tiling, joinery installation and wall sheeting underway in August.

And underscoring our commitment to sustainable outcomes for our Residents, the community, and the environment, we are proud to be one of the first developers in South East Queensland to pioneer the use of Holcim’s ground-breaking ECOPactZero carbon-neutral concrete in The Mowbray.
