How Mosaic stays ahead of the curve & why it matters

Mosaic is a developer that fundamentally believes it is critical to establish a resilient business that can successfully trade through all cycles.

In order to achieve this, we are extremely committed to remaining ahead of the curve in terms of market forecasting, strategy, research and innovation. Consequently, the investment into this area of the business is extensive, especially for a private developer of their scale. This is evidenced by the fact that we have our own internal research and strategy team; these teams, and their unique skill set, are typically only limited to larger publicly listed development companies.

Based on the above, and given an unwavering commitment to our five-year blueprint, our FOUNDER & Managing Director Brook Monahan, and Director of Research & Strategy, Peter Bell, recently attended the UDIA International Tour of Excellence to Singapore. Each year the UDIA hosts an international tour which highlights cutting edge developments and projects that have set a new global standard in terms of design and innovation. Singapore was chosen as the destination in 2017 due to the cities inspiring innovation, architecture, sustainability, infrastructure and given it is a shining light in demonstrating how a very dense urban area can still provide a high quality of life for its residents.

When reflecting on the growth Mosaic has experienced as a business over recent years, and our vision for the next five years, both Directors were very interested in examining the urban form of Singapore in greater detail and implementing the relevant best practice learnings back home. Attending these tours is advantageous for gaining perspective on where international market trends may be headed, and formulating consequent strategies so we can continue to innovate and add greater value to their key stakeholders, partners and customers.

Singapore is leading the way in introducing a new standard for sustainable developments.

Over the next few weeks, some of the key learnings from the tour of Singapore will be summarised in blog format and shared with key stakeholders and partners to drive shared value and benefit.

Specific areas established for further examination are set to include

  • Sustainability
  • New Technologies
  • Density
