ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team and play a key role across financial operations, reporting, systems and stakeholder support. You’ll be across end‑to‑end accounting functions, with opportunities to contribute to process improvement and gain exposure to month‑end, year‑end, and audit responsibilities.
- Responsible for supporting day‑to‑day accounting activities including reconciliations, journal processing, tax-related preparation, and maintenance of fixed asset registers.
- Provide operational support across accounts payable and receivable functions and assist the finance team with various ad‑hoc tasks to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Support the delivery of month‑end and year‑end processes by completing assigned tasks on schedule, contributing to financial statements, management reporting, audit pack preparation, and preparing audit-ready working papers.
- Maintain accurate finance system data, streamline processes through improvements and automation, and support enhancements to ERP/finance systems, including training and documentation.
- Provide support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assisting with ad-hoc finance duties as requested by the company

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline
- CPA/CA qualification (or progress toward accreditation) desirable but not essential
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounting or finance support role
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB, NetSuite, or similar)
- Strong Excel skills and overall computer literacy
