MOSAIC has boosted the ‘green’ appeal for our buyers with Solis by Mosaic securing a six-leaf EnviroDevelopment certification. Ticking all the EnviroDevelopment boxes for ecosystems, waste, energy, materials, water and community, the $23 million boutique project is the first multi-unit residential development on the Sunshine Coast to receive the full accreditation and is the first of many Mosaic projects, with the accreditation becoming our bench mark as standard for the area.

Residents of Solis are most likely to notice the sun-filled spacious interiors, facilitated by large windows to achieve maximum daylighting, and large balconies that embrace the beachside location in Maltman Street, which is just metres from the beach.

But other less noticeable measures include waste avoidance, reusing, recycling, disposal, storage and collection, all factors that adhere to Mosaic’s Waste Management Plan, with Solis recycling at least 60 per cent of its build form construction waste. Specific plant stock has also been chosen to ensure the use of herbicides and pesticides is kept to a minimum.

The benefits of the certification will be ongoing for the residents, saving them money and ensuring the building is sustainable. It also creates a strong community message ensuring Solis adds value to the area well into the future.
