Mosaic in 2017… the story so far…

Mosaic is continuing to grow in a disciplined and strategic manner. We are driven to ensure Mosaic is a resilient business that can trade through all market cycles and conditions. An unwavering commitment to our strategy, our people and our strong relationships with our customers and stakeholders has ensured we continue to build a business that consistently delivers on the expectations we set.

Here’s some key achievements for Mosaic over the last 6 months to July 2017:

  • 80+ Team members, including Directors
  • Completed 28 projects in the last 3 years alone with an additional 8 projects completing in 2017
  • Additional projects under construction
  • 12 Additional projects in the pipeline across South East Queensland
  • 2,000 Consultants & Sub-Contractors
  • Successfully settled 5 apartment projects in 2017 so far (in a very tough settlement market)
  • Best rental performance we have ever had (in an extremely tough rental market)
  • Exceeded the market’s expectations with our first 2 projects on the Sunshine Coast
  • First 6-Leaf multi-unit residential development on the Sunshine Coast to be awarded the UDIA EnviroDevelopment certification
  • Completely renovated (and survived) all our offices at Latrobe
  • Found, negotiated, designed and renovated our new Sunshine Coast office and showroom; AND started to build an exciting team to fill it
  • Moved forward with 2 large land holdings at Moreton Bay Region
  • Built a stronger than ever depth, diversity and quality of pipeline
  • Significantly improved key relationships with State politicians, Councillors and industry, across so many levels
  • Improved leadership depth across every silo in the business
  • Launched two new divisions of our business (Mosaic Communities and Mosaic Retirement) and started the Mosaic Foundation
  • Built a genuine residential construction division across attached, detached and H&L product
  • Formed strategic alliance partnerships with Stockland, followed by AVJennings (with more to follow)
  • And we have understood our resource requirement moving forward including attracting some new and very high calibre people at senior management level

And here’s just a couple of key achievements from each department:

ACQUISITIONS

  • Secured our first terrace homes project and house and land packages in partnership with leading public listed companies Stockland and AV Jennings

COMMUNITY

  • Established and implementing the Community Engagement framework as a regular part of our business with excellent feedback from the community so far

CONSTRUCTION

  • Set up residential arm and building in new regions requiring new systems, software, trades, sub-contractors, designs and construction programs

DESIGN

  • Incorporated end user, sales and property management feedback into designs, along with designing first terrace homes, town houses and house & land products

DEVELOPMENT

  • Implemented a new project management software system and obtained DAs for our first Sunshine Coast, and House & Land, projects

FINANCE & ACCOUNTS

  • Implemented a new online HR and Payroll system to make processes more efficient.

FOUNDATION

  • Establishing the Mosaic Foundation and currently engaged with 6 Not-For-Profits, including providing ongoing support and advice (financial, time and expertise)

MARKETING

  • Launched a totally independent online and print magazine “Live Sunshine Coast” to encourage community engagement

OFFICE MANAGEMENT

  • Research, upgrades and implementation of new products and systems to save money and be more eco-friendly with supplies (including reducing wastage)

PROPERTY MANAGEMENT & MANAGEMENT RIGHTS

  • As of July 2017, Mosaic Property Management has a zero vacancy rate across the entire portfolio of previously completed Mosaic projects

RESEARCH & STRATEGY

  • The completion and integration of the 5 Year Mosaic Blueprint and Cultural DNA / Philosophies

SALES

  • Expansion of strategy and launch of diversified product types into new SEQ regions to key referral partners and local markets with direct buyers
