A major milestone was reached with the installation of The Bedford’s tower crane on site, signalling the next phase of momentum. Its defining presence on the Kangaroo Point skyline is a powerful symbol of progress and what lies ahead. The capping beam works are now 90% complete, with 80% of retention braces in place. With piling platform materials now removed, basement excavation is officially underway — another critical advancement. In July, Mosaic Construction will progress the basement dig — a substantial phase that will continue over several months.

The Carter had a strong and steady start on site with early works progressing on schedule. Piling for both the crane base and lift core was successfully completed in June, followed by preparations and reinforcements for the crane base — a key milestone in preparing for one of the most visible and exciting moments in the construction journey. Coming into mid-July we will see the arrival of The Carter’s tower crane (weather permitting) signalling a significant new phase in the construction program.

Favourable winter weather has seen another highly productive month for Mosaic Construction. During June, Level 5’s slab was planned and poured successfully along with the installation of a materials hoist at the front of the site to streamline access. Another milestone will be reached with glazing installation set to commence on the lower levels — marking an exciting step in Isabel’s transition from structure to façade. Looking ahead, the Level 6 and 7 concrete slabs are scheduled to be poured in July, weather permitting, as the team continues to focus on progressing the vertical structure.

Internally, residences are finalised to Level 12 and locked up, ready to begin quality assurance inspections. Across July, momentum remains strong with more homes reaching lock-up while resident amenities begin to take shape.

Sophia’s site continues its transformation with demolition now complete and all excess materials cleared. The site has been levelled in preparation for the next phase of construction which is piling.
