Some of the sustainability measures being undertaken for this project are as follows:

  • Design demonstrates best-practice subtropical, sustainable principles that reduce energy consumption and costs while enhancing the living experience.
  • Extensive double glazing provides excellent insulation and reduces street noise. At the same time, oversized doors and windows welcome fresh breezes and allow substantial daylight penetration deep into living spaces.
  • Water taps on each residence’s balconies, as a standard inclusion, encourages residents to grow plants and contribute to green spaces.
  • Approximately 148sqm, or 15% of the site, is dedicated to deep planting.
  • Extensive irrigation systems will assist in growing and maintaining the deep lush planting on the ground plane.
  • A section of the planter on the communal podium level will be used as a communal herb garden.
  • The trellis garden to the western façade will improve air quality and reduce heat gain by creating a microclimate that can be up to 1-2 degrees lower than the ambient temperature.
  • The use of the highly engineered stormwater filtration device is designed to remove sediment, heavy metals, nitrogen, and phosphorus from stormwater run-off, ensuring wastewater going back into the local waterways is clean and free of residues and foreign deposits.
